PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Aplevant 1.5mg Pre-filled Pen (0.5ml Each) is an injectable medicine used to lower blood glucose levels in adults with type 2 diabetes. It works by helping your body produce insulin and reducing the amount of sugar your liver makes.
The dose of Aplevant 1.5mg Pre-filled Pen (0.5ml Each) will depend on your condition and what other diabetes medicines you are taking. You can use it at any time of day with or without food but try to use it on the same day each week to get the most benefit. Your doctor or nurse will show you how and where to inject the medicine. Follow the instructions carefully. Do not stop taking this medicine without talking to your doctor. If you do, your blood glucose levels may increase and put you at risk of serious complications. It should be used with a proper diet and exercise to control high blood glucose. This medicine should be stored in a fridge until you need it but do not freeze it.
The most common side effects of this medicine include nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, and loss of appetite. It can also lead to hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) especially if you are taking other medicines to lower blood sugar. Make sure you know how to recognize and deal with it.
Before using this medicine, talk to your doctor if you have ever had liver or kidney disease, pancreatitis, or stomach problems. Also, tell your doctor if you are taking any other medicines which may affect the way this medicine works. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, ask your doctor if it is safe to take Aplevant 1.5mg Pre-filled Pen (0.5ml Each).
